Zoe QIU (b. 1987, Inner Mongolia, China) is a freelance cartoonist and illustrator based in Montreal. After 6 years of the hustle and bustle life in Beijing, Zoe decided to quit her job, come to Canada and chase her ‘cartoonist dream’. Since moving to Montreal in September 2019, she has been documenting the immigrant experience by comics. Her humorous art series “La vie au Québec” and her life as an artist and a newcomer have soon been highlighted by CBC Montreal and Cult MTL. Gradually, her comics have inspired some cultural thinkings and her Instagram and Facebook accounts have attracted over 2300 followers.
